Capabilities

Capabilities

With our plastic fabrication services, XTO uses any combination of our primary and value-added services to deliver finished products to our customers. We have the technology and the ingenuity to develop streamlined and cost-effective solutions and motivated staff to More... execute them on schedule and with precision. Our team gives each project the attention it deserves and works together, brings their skills to the forefront, and gets the job done right every time. We fabricate small quantities of unique and unusual products as well as mass produce millions. With our die-cutting capabilities, we die-cut a range of polymers using flat cut steel rule dies. We cut rigid plastics measuring up to 1/16” thick, solid rubber up to 3/8” thick, and softer foams up to 1-inch thick. Kiss cutting is similar to die-cutting but makes cuts at a controlled depth, which is useful for leaving an extended liner for easy handling. For projects that involve thicker materials and making intricate and complex cuts in temperature-sensitive or very soft materials, we turn to our waterjet. Another option we offer is flash cutting, a CNC-controlled process that does not require tooling. Both water jet and flash cutting are suitable for prototyping production quantities. We fabricate an extensive range of materials, soft to rigid. Our technical staff is always willing to share their encyclopedic knowledge to help customers choose from among the many options. From general-purpose plastics to rigid and high-strength acrylic, ABS, and reinforced resins, we have a solution for any application. Cutting can be combined with laminating and slitting as well as secondary processes like drilling, machining, and product assembly. As an all-in-one fabrication company, we provide our customers with the convenience of receiving complete, finished, and assembled parts quickly and at reduced costs. To learn more about our plastics fabrication capabilities or to inquire, contact us directly. Less
At XTO, we have extensive facilities for die-cutting. With our technical support, enormous production capacity, and wide-ranging selection of materials, we provide die-cut shapes for a vast array of applications, from general-purpose to highly critical. We supply products More... such as gaskets, washers, shims, foam pads, thermal insulators, electrical insulators, rubber pads, fabricated plastics, and more to customers all over the United States and in more than a dozen countries worldwide. We use various production methods, such as flatbed cutters and punch presses, to produce die-cut products. We can cut foams up to one inch thick, solid rubber up 3/8”, and rigid materials, such as acrylic, up to 1/16” thick. Part sizes can be specified as small as .100” x .100” or as large as 72” x 36”. With multiple cuts and multi-layer cutting, we can create complex shapes, accurately and repeatably, in any volume. Our material selection covers about everything, hard to soft, flexible to rigid. Examples include open and closed cell foams, thermal interface materials, urethane, plastics, fabric, adhesive-backed laminations, and more. For customers interested in guidance, we are here to answer any questions about temperature tolerance, chemical resistance, and any other physical or mechanical properties. We keep an abundance of materials in stock, allowing us to fast track production and turnaround times. As an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of die-cut products, we offer complete certification and quality reporting. To learn more about our die-cutting operations or request a quote for a die-cut product, contact us directly. Less
With our water jet cutting capabilities, XTO creates custom parts of any size or complexity. Our industrial water jets generate a fine, high-pressure stream of water to power through materials measuring up to 4” thick. We can adjust the pressure to make clean, More... high-accuracy cuts in materials that range from the most rigid plastics to soft and flexible urethane foams. Water jet cutting does not involve custom tooling, so we typically turn jobs around very quickly. Water jet cutting technology provides several advantages. It does not involve heat, so there is no thermal distortion of the workpiece, making it ideal for cutting temperature-sensitive materials. Cut edges are smooth and burr-free, eliminating the need for secondary treatments. Our water jets feature a 113” long x 62” wide work envelope, so we can generate large parts as well as tightly nest parts together on one sheet to obtain high material yields. Using water jet cutting, we quickly produce prototypes and small lots. With high-speed cutting, we also handle high-volume production runs. Materials we water jet cut include the full range of plastics, solid rubber, synthetic elastomers, various densities of urethane foam, and many others. Our warehouse always has an abundance of materials in stock. We can create parts with complex designs and intricate details while holding tolerances to ±0.01”. With our ISO 9001 certified quality assurance, we ensure parts comply with all standards and specifications. We work with customers in a diverse range of industries and have an impressive list of long-term customers who are confident in the quality and reliability of our products and our agility as a supplier to get things done. To learn more about our water jet cutting operations or request a quote for services, contact us directly. Less
