At Budnick Converting, we are a leading provider of die-cut adhesive tapes and flexible materials. We leverage multiple technologies, such as continuous rotary die-cutting for producing high accuracy, close tolerance parts in high volumes, as well as flatbed die cutting More... for thicker materials and processing short-run orders. Our facility also houses laser systems for producing precision shapes and a digital cutting plotter that generates parts directly from computer files. Using these die cutting methods, we create products of all shapes and sizes with features such as kiss cuts, perforations, multiple layers of material, and finger-lift tabs for easy removal from the release liner. We create die-cut products from hundreds of different roll and sheet materials. Examples include double-coated adhesive tapes, rigid and flexible foam and plastic, cloth tape, label stock, and many different types and grades of film and paper. With the vast number of substrate and adhesive choices, we have solutions for any application, such as those that require high strength, specific insulation or electrical properties, and heat, moisture, or chemical resistance, for example. As a full service converting company, we have full in-line printing capabilities and can laminate a permanent or temporary adhesive to one or both sides of the substrate. We can apply the adhesive in a custom pattern, supply the die cuts on a large spool to integrate with automation equipment and offer custom roll size and sheet size delivery. Very few converting companies offer our range of integrated capabilities, the abundance of material choices, uncompromised quality, and value pricing. By tapping into our expertise, we help customers pinpoint the optimal die-cut design to save material costs and production time. As part of our integrated platform of services at Budnick Converting, we offer precision cutting. We have extensive capabilities and broad industry knowledge for providing solutions that satisfy challenging design and quality criteria. Our precision dies cutting equipment More... consists of in-line laser cutters, water jet cutters, and digital plotters, and each of these technologies has features and benefits, depending on the application. We consider the material composition and thickness, tolerance requirements, production volume, and pricing to offer the best option. Ideal for short-run production of close tolerance kiss-cut, through-cut, or router cut products, our next-generation flatbed cutting plotters make high speed, precision cuts in a wide variety of roll and sheet materials. We also combine our laser systems with rotary presses to generate elaborate and sophisticated designs for prototype and production runs with little to no tooling costs. For thicker substrates and materials that are heat-sensitive, we offer water jet cutting to extremely tight tolerances. All three precision cutting processes are carried out in a lean, ISO 9001:2005 certified manufacturing environment. We offer an enormous selection of adhesive tapes, films, foams, and foils with performance properties for all types of service conditions. Along with in-line printing, precision cutting can be combined with specialty adhesive laminating, slitting and rewinding, spooling, and any of our other converting capabilities. We manufacture precision cut rubber goods, EMI/RFI shielding products, magnets, labels, and gaskets, decals, electronic parts, corrugated products – this list is almost endless. As problem solvers, we consult with customers on design and material selection to ensure they get the best product. At Budnick Converting, we have the flexibility to slit a wide assortment of materials into ultra-thin to wide width rolls. We leverage high-tech equipment capabilities and proprietary processing methods for making clean, precise cuts in master rolls of tapes, foams, More... and films and producing finished rolls with an exact width, diameter, and weight. Our slitting services include both lathe slitting and rewind slitting to handle the high-quality requirements for diverse applications across a wide variety of industries. We use our state-of-the-art lathe slitters to slice large rolls of the adhesive tape to smaller, custom widths. Computer controls enable us to program the blade direction, cutting speed, and mandrel speed with pinpoint precision. We uphold the tightest tolerances in the industry, and the extreme level of accuracy and repeatability ensures products comply with the highest quality standards. Our rewind slitting operations involve unwinding a large master roll through a series of razor, shear, or score blades and then rewinding the material on narrower rolls with the specified width and diameter. We can create extraordinarily narrow and non-standard widths based on application-specific requirements. With our extensive slitting capabilities, both OEMs and their suppliers benefit from increased productivity in adhesive tapes. We offer an enormous range of material options, and we are an authorized converter for every major adhesive tape manufacturer such as 3M, Tesa, Avery, Saint-Gobain, and others. Our quality systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards. To learn more about our slitting capabilities or to make an inquiry, contact us directly. Less

As part of our capabilities, Budnick Converting offers spooling to combine multiple rolls of adhesive tapes or other flexible materials into a long-length reel that promotes fewer roll changes for more efficient production and reduced downtime. Longer runs also help More... customers reduce their operating and labor costs. For manufacturers that leverage automation and want to keep their machines running longer, spooling is an ideal solution. Our application engineers work with customers to understand their operations and decide about how much material can fit on a single roll while still being stable and easy to handle and store. In combination with spooling, we also offer rewind finishing to customize the final roll size and unwind direction. We offer an extensive selection of tapes, foams, and films that lend easily to spooling. Along with PVC, polyurethane, and other plastic films, we spool cloth tape, non-wovens, double-coated tape, high bond acrylics, and more. With our comprehensive platform of converting services, we can laminate the material, coat with a temporary or permanent adhesive, and laser-cut or die-cut shapes. We can print using flexographic, digital, inkjet, or thermal technologies and slit rolls to width before combining onto the spool. To ensure the giant reel seamlessly integrates into the specific production process, we can supply a prototype spool for testing. Our facility houses high tech machinery for winding delicate to sturdy tape, film, and foam onto industrial-sized spools. These machines allow for tight control of the winding process and feature integrated monitoring systems to ensure quality from start to finish.
