Oil seals are essential for stopping lubricant leakage in bearing systems of all kinds, as well as protecting mechanical equipment from abrasives, moisture, and other possible contaminants. All types of bearing models benefit from oil seals, including ball, roller, More... and sleeve bearings. Our precision-designed oil seals combine reliability, longevity, and consistently excellent performance. Available models include: · Inch and Metric Oil Seals — With a full selection of seals available in standard and metric dimensions, these oil seals have been employed in a complete range of commercial and industrial equipment. Made from materials such as Nitrile or Viton, they are designed to withstand the most extreme temperatures and chemicals. Single and double lip designs are available as required. · Garlock Isolator Style Oil Seals — The Garlock seal is an advanced product for the most severe applications. It is designed in a single piece with no metal-to-metal contact, eliminating wear on the shaft. Featuring easy installation, these seals are available in a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials in order to cover a maximum number of environments. Standard measurement seals are available in sizes ranging from .75” by .25” to 1.375” by .25”, while Metric units run from 16 mm by 5 mm to 30 mm by 7 mm. Cam follower roller bearings are specifically designed to follow cams or tracks on a wide range of linear motion systems. They can be used on conveyors and process transfer lines in many different industries including packaging, food processing, power generation, recreation, More... automation, transportation, wastewater treatment, metal processing, and more.Download our FREE eBook: The Art of Precision Bearing - Handling Mounting, and Technical Guide to Precision Bearings The distinctive characteristic of cam followers are attributed to how they mount to their counterparts. Common examples include stud style, which fittingly use a stud to mount to their mating part, while yoke style have a hole through the middle.Cam followers are precision machined, which provides a great deal of benefits over alternative technologies. Some advantages include a reduction in noise, low rolling resistance, vibration damping and shock absorbing properties, the ability to carry axial loads, and the option of corrosion resistance. Here’s a closer look at some more components and advantages:No Need for Lubrication: Because they are precision machined, they require relubrication only once in the entirety of their shelf life. Once they are regreased, they are greased for life. This ensures a well operating product, reduces the amount of maintenance time and money required, and minimizes the risk of overgreasing and bearing failure.Noise Reducing: Depending on how precisely they are able to be manufactured, the noise level of the machinery can be reduced by as many as 10 decibels. The more accurately it is made, the more it contributes to a smoother, better and overall quieter operation. No Rail Damage: As you know, cam followers follow cams, or machine elements with curved or grooved outlines. But rail wear has the potential to be a serious issue. However, they can be made to run directly in a rail without causing any wear or damage. It’s worth noting that there are exceptions where the rails may need to be hard coated – specifically when it comes to higher loads – to avoid rail wear.Vibration Damping & Shock Absorbing Properties: Based on the material of the cam follower, it may dampen shock and vibration. Sound waves are also insulated in many cases, which further reduces the noise that is emitted.Corrosion Resistant Types are Available: Not every environment is the same, and when it comes to extreme environments, you need more apt products and components to stand up to the conditions.Other benefits include long lifecycles, both standard and custom sizes, the availability of a low weight option, and axial load carrying capabilities.Check out some of our products below to get more information! When customers need to accommodate severe misalignment in their applications, they require rod end bearings and spherical bushings. A full range of applications requires bearings and bushings of this kind, including construction, vehicles, marine, and agriculture. We More... offer multiple series of rod ends and spherical bushings — essential for linkage applications. Our units are relied on for both inch and metric systems, and include the following: · Inch/Metric Rod Ends — Our rod ends are available in male and female units. Self-lubricating and metal-to-metal options are both available. While the standard option for these rod ends is for right hand threads, left hand thread options are available as well. · Heavy Duty Metric Rod Ends — Used extensively for shock loads, Emerson heavy duty rod ends are available in four different series: BEM and BEF, male and female units with integral spherical plain bearing, as well as BRM and BRF, male and female rod ends with integral self-aligning ball bearings. · Inch Spherical Bushings — Three different series of these units are available: the COM/COMH commercial series, available in inch and metric styles; the FKS/FKST series, our heavy duty units with alloy steel and optional PTFE liners; and the GEZ ES plain spherical bushings with single fractured race. · GE Metric Spherical Bushings — These spherical plain bearings are designed for metric applications. Available in both open configurations and with seals on both sides, they are available in sizes that range from 22 mm by 10 mm to 105 mm by 80 mm.
