Prototyping
Engineering and developing new products is never easy and many times your original part design is not the optimal solution. To assist your efforts in developing new parts, quickly getting them to market, and saving money, your Budnick team offers extensive prototyping services to ensure your using the best possible part you need.
Spooling & Finishing
Spooling is the process of splicing together a series of cut rolls of material and wrapping them together as one reel. The rolls are traverse wound onto one wide core. In doing so, we are able to decrease your downtime in production. Our multiple head spooler is capable of producing reels of narrow width products that would be very difficult to handle in a traditional "pancake" form. The spooler also is equipped with a die station, allowing us to provide extended tabs on double coated tapes.
Thermal Printing
In the simplest terms, thermal transfer is the process of transferring ink from a coated ribbon to a substrate using a thermal printhead. As the ribbon moves over the printhead, resistive elements on the printhead are heated, causing the ink to become molten. The ink then release from the film carrier and transfers onto the receiver, with the spent ribbon winding onto a take-up spindle. Thermal imaging allows for mass customization, custom bar codes, and does not require an printing plate costs.
